Mayak Eggs (Korean Marinated Eggs)
Ingredients
6 eggs
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup honey or your choice of liquid sweetener
1 green onion diced
3 cloves garlic minced
2 bird’s eye chili pepper diced
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Directions
Boil water, then gently add eggs and boil over medium heat for 6 minutes.
Combine soy sauce, water, honey, green onion, garlic, chilis and sesame seed while eggs are boiling.
Once eggs are cooked, immediately remove from boiling water and place in an ice bath to cool.
Once cooled, peel eggs and place in marinade for at least 6 hours before serving.
